Another Great Foundation

Hey gorgeous –

Yesterday I wrote about my current foundation obsession, Makeup Forever Invisible Coverage High Definition Foundation. Yes, its High Def Foundation but its also very wearable and amazing for real life. This is truly my current go-to High Def foundation…

But boy did I get a lot of flack and feedback from the peanut gallery about this product review. You guys loved the review, but hated the price tag! See for yourself:

The feedback goes on and on. Darn, folks! I’m sorry. When I have a great product to bring to your attention, I have to admit – cost is not always a factor. If its good its good! I’m all about bringing you the latest, the greatest, and the “damn this is fly”.

You can sort out the cost later! LOL!

But in the meantime and in between time, might I offer a few suggestions that have personally helped me stock away my precious pennies for precious new product:

Bring your own lunch for a week or two
Do your own Mani/ Pedi for one month
Troll Sephora for samples versus actual purchases
Have regular coffee instead of Mocha Latte
Wear a ponytail for a week and forgo that trip to the hair salon

LOL. But seriously folks, MF – ICHDF really is the TRUTH and I’m sorry it’s 40 bucks….

BUT…you know I’m not one to leave you high and dry. So I have another recommendation for the Budget Conscious Recessionista!

BEHOLD – CLINIQUE Perfectly Real Makeup

I stumbled upon this little gem a couple of weeks ago and DC and was truly impressed. Much like the MF – ICHDF, the finish is virtually undetectable. Perfectly Real provides light to medium buildable coverage. I would put the texture in the tinted moisturizer family.

And again, Budget Conscious Recessionistas – at $22.50 this bud’s for you!

So if High Definition coverage isn’t a MUST HAVE, check out Clinique…also available at Sephora.

But again, I must stress, MF – ICHDF is my holy grail. Its High Def but spectacular for real life too.

The choice is yours…you’ll be beautiful regardless!
