Protect Your Neck…(and hands)

“Protect Your Neck”  isn’t just the debut single from Wu-Tang’s classic album, Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). “Protect Your Neck” is also part of my beauty philosophy… actually, protect your your neck and your hands.

If you’re in your 20’s, 30’s, 40’s and beyond, you probably have your facial skin care routine down to a science. You regularly cleanse, tone, and treat. You exfoliate. You use an eye cream and serum. You hydrate your face and protect from the sun.  But how often does your facial skin care routine extend to your neck and hands? If your answer is “never”, you’re missing out on an opportunity to protect and preserve your sexiness.

Just like the face, the neck and hands show signs of aging. But unlike the face, hands and neck do not receive regular attention or the application of potent ingredients like antioxidants and vitamins.

Here’s one to grow on — Do not limit your skin care routine to your face. Your neck and hands need love too.  You don’t want to end up with well a preserved flawless face and wrinkly rough looking man hands…or a dry crepe paper-y neck. I’m just saying!

The next time you care for your face, take a few seconds to extend your beauty regime to your neck and hands. For example, after applying your serum or moisturizer to your face, massage the remaining product along your neck, decolletage and back of hands. Your neck and hands will thank you. And you’ll thank me for this sage advice years from now when your youthful neck and hands match your equally youthful face!
