Summer Trendspotting: mark. Summer 2010 Beauty Collection

Hey everyone, Erika here from Shoes, Shirts & Other Sh!t…Felicia assigned me to cover the mark. summer 2010 collection preview party in New York City and now I’m here to report back! While the entire summer collection is impressive, here are the hero products from my perspective:

mark. calm & composed super-soothing moisturizer [$15]

This moisturizer is a total lifesaver! With the weather changing, my skin has been acting up like crazy—blotchy, red, break outs. This moisturizer is specifically designed to combat skin redness associated with “flushing, blushing and flare-ups” . It is packed with super foods like oat beta glucan and avocado to help moisturize and hydrate skin. Additionally, the moisturizer contains red algae to help reduce redness, as well as powerful doses of shea butter, tamarind seed extract, green tea extract, guava extract, and caffeine! Lightweight, oil-free and extremely gentle, this moisturizer helps calm my skin and tone down my redness in no time at all!

As a card carrying lip gloss worshiper, I am elated to add mark. gloss gorgeous stay on lip stain to my collection. It’s a keeper! mark. gloss gorgeous is a 2-in-1 lip stain/ gloss. Like a lip stain, it is designed to provide color to the lips, and like a gloss it adds hydration and shine! The gloss is comfortable and not sticky, lasts several hours, comes in four gorgeous shades (my favorite is Bella!) and also has a cool clickable applicator and brush tip.

mark. keep it going longwear eyeliner and shadow [$10]

These nifty little duo eyeliner and shadow compacts pack a big punch for a small package. The smooth liner and shadow applies easily, and once dry, stays on for hours…and is waterproof to boot! (Perfect for the beach!) The formula contains vitamin E, so the color will never dry out. Just one minute after applying, the shadow is set and you’re ready to go! Additionally, the crease resistant shadow/liner is ophthalmologist tested and suitable for contact lens wearers! The compacts are available in 5 matte and shimmering shades that can be mixed and matched to create your perfect summer. Expect the formula to last through the sun, sweat, and the sea!

Perfume meant to transform any day into an instant vacation! mark. Rio comes in two fabulous scents “Rhythms” and “Bikini”. Rio Bikini is flirty, fun and filled with warm sunshine, sparkles and delicious sensations. The formula contains a bright blend of juicy kiwi, luscious melon, exotic flowers and a drizzle of coconut.
