Guthy Renker – Release Me From This Death Grip!

Guthy-Renker (and the likes):

- What is this power thou has over me?

Lately I’ve been going to bed to the easy listenings of the Lifetime Channel…you know – Will & Grace, Frasier, and The Golden Girls (oh “Ma” aka Estelle Getty, you still crack me up!!!).

I set my channel to Lifetime and then let the TV watch me. Somewhere around 6ish I wake up to the hawking of Guthy-Renker/Guthy-Renker esque products. If it’s not Sheer Cover it’s Bare Escentuals. If it aint Raw Essentials by Carol Alt, it’s In an Instant by every one’s favorite German Supermodel, Heidi “The Body” Klum.

And I gotta tell ya…I thank sweet Jesus for the early morning grogginess and the wallet that is out of reach. Or else all kinds of 6AM impulsiveness would be going down. Usually, somewhere around 6:30AM I regain my sanity and switch to the morning news. Crisis averted!

Does this happen to anyone else?
I can’t be the only one!
C’mon come out of the shadows!
Let’s form a support group! LOL
