It’s brand spanking new and worthy of your attention (and possibly worthy of your $34, yes?!).

Sephora and the beauty experts of the beauty bible, Allure magazine, have collaborated to create the Beauty Editor Palette, a collection of five color coded eye, lip, and cheek kits suitable for life’s every makeup moment. Naturally I felt compelled to set up the old video camera and record a fifteen minute “First Impressions” video. Well, here you go:

This Saturday I had a case of the Winter Blues…

Depressed?

Hardly! I’m not talking about that kind of blue.

I’m talking about blue eye shadow!
I had a serious yearning to go blue for my night out.
And as luck would have it, I had a brand spanking new MAC Mineralize Eye Shadow Trio in “Inter-view” that I was dying to try out. If you haven’t already tried MAC’s new Mineralize Eye Shadow Trios, do yourself a favor.

I recently hit up my local department store for the sole purpose of checking out Ms Bobbi Brown’s recent release, Shimmering Nudes.  

Even tho I had a strange feeling it was gonna be the reincarnation of a Nude collection from a few years ago, I still had to check it out.  

Upon inspection of the collection in person, yup, you guessed it.  It felt all too familiar. Dejavous like a mug!

Even tho I decided to pass, I still want to share my review of the collection because if you’re new to makeup or new to BBrown, this

collection might be a good opportunity for you to invest.  

You really cant go wrong with BBrown. If nothing else, she is consistent.  If you’re new to Bobbi, this is  great opportunity to get some of her core neutrals in your collection.  Her products are always of the highest quality and this collection does not stray.  At the affordable price of $50, the Shimmering Nudes eye palette is a steal.  

The palette come with 6 neutral shimmering nude tones,  one deep dark tone for lining or crease (espresso), and a great dual ended shadow and liner brush.  And a word about the brush – its awesome!  Bobbi’s eyeliner brush is my favorite of all the liner brushes in my collection.

This palette is a limited edition so act fast!

So without further ado, I want to share with you my latest palette crush…and welcome Dior cosmetics to TTB as I believe this is my first time reviewing a Dior product.

BEHOLD – Momma’s Current Crush:


In a word, this palette is “DREAMY”. It comes with three colors that blend into each other. There’s dark brown shimmer, bronze shimmer, and tan shimmer. These colors work like a dream for my complexion. The dark brown shimmer color is like my complexion with shimmer. When I swatched on my hand it was pure love. All three colors look great together as lid, crease, and highlight. Each color also works well individually as a sheer wash of color.

This particular palette is from Dior’s Automne/ Fall 2008 collection titled “Dandy Lady”.

The model in the picture above is wearing the aforementioned palette. Given the neutral tones of this palette, I feel it will work for a wide range of complexions.

What it is:
A trio of pearly, chocolate-hued eyeshadows, artfully stamped with this season’s popular croc pattern.



What it does:
Give your lids a luminous glow with Dior’s new eyeshadows that are etched with a cool, croc pattern. The base color is slightly raised in the pan to indicate its “primal” importance to any look, from soft to smoky. Create more drama by shading the balls of the lids with the rich mocha or dark chocolate shades. These shadows are silky, feather-soft, and easy to blend.
